2002 Oregon State Championship ― Steve Scalpone defeated Jim Herzog to take home the Harber Cup and the title of 2002 USCA State Champion. Wally Clark held off Richard Scholl for 3rd. IN the “B” Flight, Patrick Sweeney defeated Lee Fitzpatrick to take top honors. Cyrus Nix took 3rd.

The 2001 Resort Invitational - Congratulations to Reg Bamford of South Africa on winning the Resort Invitational.  Bamford, the current World Champion, defeated David Openshaw of England to take the title.  Thanks to Tremaine Arkley for organizing this event.  It is quite a privilege to be able to watch (and meet) players of this level.

The 2001 Western Regional Championships were played  on the Lawns at The RESORT AT THE MOUNTAIN in Welches, Oregon.  Congratulations to Highlands Croquet Club members on their showing in 2001 Western Regional Championships.  Steve Scalpone won the Championship Flight.  John Dill from Texas took second and Wally Clark from Portland took third.  In the the "B" Flight, Curtis Toops, Lee Fitzpatrick and Patrick John Sweeney made it a 1-2-3 sweep for Highlands.

Chintinimi Defeated Highlands 11-9 in the head-to-head on April 28, 2001.  Cyrus Nix was our MVP winning all three of his games. I am trying to arrange another competition for the end of June or first week in July in Corvallis.
