Club Championship Ladder

1)     Challenge matches are 90 minutes and played under USCA rules;

2)     Fee TBA (whatever USCA charges for sanctioning);

3)     Challenges will be scheduled on Club Play days, unless both players consent to another date.

4)     Any player may challenge any other player within two positions;

5)     A person cannot challenge the same person twice in a row, unless it is the person is directly above them in the ladder;

6)     Challenges are to will be communicated via e mail or by phone to Club President;

7)     Club President will post the challenge in the weekly e-mail;

8)     A challenge is accepted by e mail or phone to Club President;

9)     A challenge should be accepted by the next Club Play day.  If it is not accepted by that date, a “reminder” will be sent.  A player must respond to a “reminder” within one week and either accept or request an “exception,” pursuant to Rule 10.  Failure to respond within this time period will result in a forfeiture;

10)  Limited exceptions to the “acceptance scheduled” can be made upon an adequate showing of unavailability; generally one exception granted per tracking period;

11)  Once accepted, a Challenge Match must be played within three Club Play days following acceptance.  An acceptance should include available dates;

12)  Once a challenge is accepted, no other challenges may be made to the accepting player until after the game is scheduled;

13)  If a challenge is to a person one position higher in the ladder, if the challenger wins, the two change positions in the ladder;

14)  If a challenge is to a person two or more positions higher, if challenger wins, the challenger takes that position on the ladder, the loser, and the person(s) in the position in between, drops one position in the ladder;

15)  If a challenger loses, their next challenge must be to person directly above them in the ladder; and

16)  A forfeit is treated as a loss for ladder purposes, but will not be reported to USCA for tracking points.

Note:   There will be a one time exemption for Steve, Tremaine, and Agnus (all of whom did not play in Club Championship).  The challenge must be issued prior to June 1, 2002.  They can challenge up to the #2 position, if they loss, they will take the lowest position in the ladder.  If they win, they will be inserted into the ladder and ever player below them moves down one position.
