Club Play - Spring 2007

Next Club Play is March 24, 2007 at The Resort.  Check the weather!

We'll be playing at The Resort occasionally this summer. We won't play in the snow or on frosty lawns.  Check the weather.

Upcoming Tournaments

Jun 4 - Jun 10  The Resort Invitational - The 11th annual Resort Invitational will take place June 4-10, 2007 on the two courts at the Resort at The Mountain in Welches, Oregon. This Association Rules singles event will feature many MacRobertson Shield players from the four countries. The format is double round robin nines, no time limits, top four finishers in the block play for the money prizes on Sunday June 10th. For those who will be in the Pacific Northwest  in June and want to see this premier croquet tournament, you call The Resort at 1 800 669-7666 to book a room.

Jun 6 - Jun 10  The Seattle Open - The Seattle Open may be early this year because CroqCan will be held in Vancouver in mid- to -late July.  Stay tuned for details.

Aug 9-12 USCA Western Regional Championship - The USCA American Rules Western Regional Championship will be August 9-12 at Sonama-Cutrer in Windsor, CA.

Sep. 14-16 - 2007 Oregon Open At The Resort at the Mountain; details soon.

Oct. 13-14 Oregon State American Rules Championship - The Oregon State American Rules Championship is a single-flight tournament scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13-14, 2007. RiverRidge in Eugene will host the tournament with games played at the Chintimini Croquet Club in Corvallis. Highlands Croquet Club

Weekly matches of 6-wicket American Rules croquet played on the best lawns the state has to offer.  The Resort at The Mountain has two laser-leveled courts located in the highlands of Mt. Hood National Forest, located 45 minutes east of Portland just off of Highway 26 in Welches, Oregon.

$45 Annual Membership includes:

  • USCA Membership ($50 value)

  • Access to regulation courts and Class "A" equipment

For members of another USCA club, an associate membership is available for $25.

You don't have to be a club member to visit or to try the game.

Frost Delays You cannot use the lawns when frosted or frozen.  It is a good idea to call the golf shop at (800) 669-4653 prior to your drive up.


Arkley Court The Resort at The Mountain's West Lawn has been renamed and dedicated to Tremaine Arkley for his devotion and enthusiasm for the sport.  Many players consider The Resort's West Lawn is be one of the finest in the world and it is certainly fitting that it be named after someone who has done for much for the sport.
